Ultherapy: The Secret to a Natural-Looking Facelift

Ultherapy: The Secret to a Natural-Looking Facelift

For a wide variety of reasons, from defying age as you get older to adjusting perceived imperfections, cosmetic treatments continue to be a popular choice for getting the look people want. Cosmetic surgery is still quite popular in the U.S., with $16.7 billion spent in the industry in 2020 alone. This includes 13.2 million minimally invasive procedures, significantly more than the 2.3 million cosmetic surgeries done in the same year. With minimally and noninvasive treatments becoming so popular, facelift procedures like ultherapy are a safe way to get results without incisions or long periods of time healing from surgery. Let’s spend some time examining what ultherapy is, how it works, and how soon you can expect results.

Residents of Houston, Texas looking for noninvasive ways to get quality facelifts and other cosmetic services can find help from Dr. Justina Taube and her skilled team at The Elite Wellness Resort. We specialize in eyer-elated cosmetic procedures but offer a wide variety of treatments to help you look your best.

Understanding ultherapy

This skin tightening treatment uses ultrasound to support the production of collagen, a protein useful in many areas of your body to provide structure and strength. The ultrasound energy is focused in targeted areas of your body, and works under the skin to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and make your skin firmer. This method is commonly used on your eyebrows, chest area, and under your chin, and because it is noninvasive it can be done on an outpatient basis so you can get on with your day once it is finished.

How the treatment works

The treatment begins after the area to be treated is cleaned of any oil or residue, and an ultrasound gel is applied. A viewing device will be used to adjust the proper settings, then the ultrasound device is applied to your skin, delivering energy where needed. You may experience heat or tingling during the procedure, and pain medication can be used to alleviate any discomfort. Once the treatment is complete (which can take up to 90 minutes, depending on the size of the area being treated) the device is removed from the skin. Any sensation of heat and tingling will subside shortly after the procedure.

When can you see results

The treated skin may appear red or flushed after ultherapy is done, and you can expect to start seeing results within a few days, with improvements continuing for up to three months. Overall results will last as long as your body continues to produce more collagen to sustain firmness, and additional treatments will depend on how well your skin reacts to ultherapy.

If you’re looking for quality results without surgery and in less time, ultherapy is a great fit. If you’re ready to see what you can look like with this popular procedure contact Dr. Taube and The Elite Wellness Resort today to get started.
